The raw materials must be 100% Halal
Animal ingredients: Only ingredients from cows, sheep, chickens, and other sources slaughtered under Islamic law (such as Muslim chanting and bloodletting) are allowed. Pig sources and animal ingredients not slaughtered according to Islamic law are strictly prohibited.
Plant/chemical composition: must not contain alcohol or unknown animal derived additives (such as glycerol and magnesium stearate, with plant sources specified).
Isolate prohibited substances throughout the production process
Equipment specific: The production line must not come into contact with alcohol, pig products, or non halal drugs, and cleaning agents must be Halal certified (alcohol disinfection is prohibited).
Personnel regulations: Operators are not allowed to bring prohibited items (such as alcoholic drugs and food) into the workshop.
International Certification and Market Access
Domestic standards: Must pass the certification of China Islamic Association or provincial-level halal food.
Export requirements: Markets in the Middle East (such as Saudi Arabia SASO) and Southeast Asia (such as Indonesia MUI) require additional local Halal certification.
Labels and Consumer Trust
Mandatory labeling: The packaging must be printed with the Chinese word "Halal" or the international Halal logo, and the ingredients must be transparent (such as "plant gelatin").
Taboo reminder: Do not use misleading terms (such as vague expressions like "may contain animal ingredients").
